So, the NFL is likely to make a rule next month at league meetings that will call for referees to penalize players for use of racist and gay slurs like the N-Word or F–got. Isn’t that special.

Of course, the use of those terms should be penalized. Using those words during a sporting event is the epitome of unsportsmanlike conduct.

But how about the complete hypocrisy here? This is a league that allows the use of a racist slur as the nickname of its Washington DC franchise!

Hey Commissioner Roger Goodell, how about you and your fellow owners do the right thing and ban the R-Word as a team nickname at your upcoming meetings?

The R-Word is as offensive and despicable as the N-Word and the F-Word. It has to go.
